Facilitating the Fundamental First Step

If you’re lucky, maybe the first thing you get is the name of the City, maybe the full address, or the name of the regional manager who always makes your life a living “joy” ..and then the management team starts throwing around goals and expectations.  There are some guesses on square-footage, a few out of focus pictures, some with thumbs halfway over the lens.  Finally, there’s the drop-dead, impossible timeline.  At this point, the project can basically go a couple ways, and one of them is the wrong way.  If you want to succeed, you’re going to need solid intel, and fast.  At that point, WSL can lead the way with accurate site surveys.

The size of the project isn’t important; it’s how critical the proper execution is. At this stage, you may not know if you need to engage an architect or just a handyman, but everyone is clamoring for accurate scope and a budget to submit for approvals. You need a detailed and accurate survey.  WSL will deploy our surveyors to take measurements and to record everything you need to see.  Photos, video, 3D renderings and imaging will help you take the first steps to be successful in your repairs or renovations.

WorkSpace will serve as your boots on the ground to assess every detail.  Floorplans, elevations, ingress, pathways, ADA compliance, signage, electrical, effective building control settings can be included in our survey scopes.  Because a significant portion of our work includes millwork installation and repair, our teams will seek out the possible fail-points that could delay your project or send it into costly overruns.

Once the project is completed, a follow-up survey provides the proper As-Built update to streamline any future projects in the space.  And a comparative 3D walkthrough of the newly renovated space shown against the original 3D survey is the perfect way for your team to validate the value of the project to all of the stakeholders who may never have a chance to visit the project site.
